You want a touchscreen wallet for your phone, prefer a lighter device and like the gold finish. NeoGold has a plastic body and the same 2.8-inch screen size as Neo-X, without its artwork gallery or included metal backup kit.
Consider another model if
You want to view NFT artwork on the wallet itself or use the included metal backup kit: choose Neo-X for those extras. If you mainly use a computer, compare V20 for wired computer signing as well as phone use.
Prepare the transfer on your phone, confirm it on NeoGold
NeoGold works with SecuX Wallet on iPhone or Android over Bluetooth. Its USB-C port is for charging. The supported transaction workflow is through the phone app; it does not use the SecuXess computer workflow offered by V20 and W20.
Enter the recipient address and amount in the app, then review the details on NeoGold’s 2.8-inch colour touchscreen and confirm the transfer there. The final sending step happens back in the app.
The iPhone app requires iOS 13 or later. SecuX’s published Android minimums conflict, and its current public Google Play listing does not settle the requirement. With an older Android phone, check that you can install SecuX Wallet before choosing NeoGold.
NeoGold supports Bitcoin and Ethereum transfers in SecuX Wallet. It also supports NFT transactions on Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Smart Chain and Solana through the app and device approvals. It has no on-device artwork gallery; that is a Neo-X display feature, separate from NFT transaction support.
For a token such as USDT or USDC, choose its network in the app before getting the receiving address. Match that network to your exchange’s withdrawal network. Verify on device shows the receiving address on NeoGold so you can compare it with the app’s address before transferring.
SecuX’s April 2025 model breakdown describes NeoGold support for up to ten Ethereum-compatible networks, including Base, Arbitrum and Avalanche. For V20 and W20, it also documents adding tokens manually on other Ethereum-compatible networks. Check the mobile column in the manufacturer’s supported-assets list for your exact coin, token and network.

For a new wallet, NeoGold generates 24 recovery words on the device and asks you to confirm them there. Its package includes two paper recovery sheets. You record the words yourself and keep them offline, separate from the device; Neo-X’s X-SEED metal sheets and engraving pen are not included with NeoGold.
Your recovery words are the wallet backup; the device PIN only unlocks the unit you have. While NeoGold is working, Seed Check in its settings lets you check the written words without resetting the device.
The recovery formats and word counts NeoGold can import remain unconfirmed. SecuX says the Neo series does not support an additional recovery passphrase. If your existing wallet uses one, choose a replacement that supports it.

The phone app checks NeoGold’s firmware and installs updates over Bluetooth. Connect the powered-on device in SecuX Wallet, check for an update and keep the update screen open until it finishes.
SecuX recommends an external power source during updates. Keep NeoGold powered and connected; turning it off or closing the app interrupts the update.
NeoGold weighs 76 g; Neo-X weighs 100 g. Their screen size and listed dimensions are the same. Choose NeoGold for its lighter, gold-finished plastic body if phone transactions are what you need. Choose Neo-X if you prefer aluminium and will use its artwork gallery or included metal backup kit.
