Choose Trezor Safe 5
Safe 5 suits computer or Android use if you want a colour touchscreen and a wired USB connection.
Safe 5 connects by USB to Trezor Suite on a computer or compatible Android phone. It does not sign with an iPhone. Safe 7 adds Bluetooth with Trezor Suite on iPhone and Android, so you can hold the charged wallet separately from the phone.

Safe 7 can also use Bluetooth on a compatible computer, or USB if you prefer a cable. You can disable Bluetooth in its settings. If you already use a wired desktop setup, wireless use is an option rather than a requirement to replace Safe 5.
Safe 5 has a 1.54-inch colour touchscreen. Safe 7 has a 2.5-inch colour touchscreen in a larger device, giving more space for reading and entering information. You still need to review the whole request before confirming.
Safe 7’s battery can charge through USB-C or a compatible Qi2 charger. It also works over USB when the battery is depleted. Safe 5 receives power from its USB connection during use. Choose Safe 5 for a wired routine, or Safe 7 if you want the option to use a charged device without a cable.
The comparison uses the Universal editions. Both models also have dedicated Bitcoin-only versions: these are different from installing Bitcoin-only firmware on a Universal device. Choose for the assets and apps you actually need.
Both support BIP39 and SLIP39 recovery, but you still need your actual backup, enough shares for any multi-share threshold and the exact optional passphrase. Restoring keeps the same wallet; creating a new one requires transfers to new addresses. Keep the old setup usable until the chosen route is checked.
