Is this the right wallet for you?

A good fit if

You prefer exchanging transactions by QR code and want a large touchscreen. You already have a compatible wallet app in mind.

Connect your wallet app

Connect Sparrow or BlueWallet by scanning Keystone’s public account QR code.

Connecting an app shares public account data, not your recovery words.

You’ll need

  • Initialized Keystone with Bitcoin-Only 1.0.1-BTC or later
  • Sparrow 1.8.5+ on a computer, or BlueWallet 6.6.2+ on a phone

Open the app’s hardware-wallet connection and scan the QR code Keystone exports for that app. Compare its account address with Keystone’s.

Never type your recovery words into an app to connect Keystone.

Find the connection menu

Open ⋯ to find Connect Software Wallet, then tap above the menu to close it. This exercise stops before connection.

Check, sign and send

The app prepares a transfer, you review and sign on Keystone, and the app broadcasts it.

Compare the full destination, amount and fee before approving; stop if the details do not match.

You’ll need

Use this QR route with Sparrow or BlueWallet.

Steps

  1. In your app

    Step 1:Prepare the transfer

Paste the original recipient address into the app’s Send form; match the network and set the amount and fee.

  2. On Keystone · QR code

    Step 1:Open the checker

Open ⋯ → Device Settings → Wallet Settings → Seed Phrase Check on Keystone.

Update firmware

Use a computer to update by USB or microSD; USB requires firmware 1.0.4 or later.

Have a checked recovery backup and any exact passphrase before updating.

Signing with a phone does not remove the computer requirement for updates.

You’ll need

You’ll need

  • The correct wallet’s recovery words or enough Shamir shares, plus any exact passphrase

Backup missing or invalid

If Keystone still signs, preserve it while moving funds to a separately backed-up wallet.

Don’t reset it or change firmware while it’s your only way to sign.

In this order

  1. Keep Keystone configured: no reset or firmware change.
  2. Create a separate destination wallet; save and verify its backup using that wallet’s own procedure.
  3. Get its address for the matching asset and network; verify it by that wallet’s method.
  4. Paste it into your app’s Send form; compare the final destination on Keystone and send a small test.
  5. Confirm arrival in the new receiving wallet; recheck the details before moving the remainder while Keystone still signs.
