Is it right for you?

Is this the right wallet for you?

A good fit if

You mainly use your phone, want an on-device NFT artwork gallery and prefer an aluminium body. Neo-X also includes a metal kit for recording your recovery words.

Consider another model if

You mainly use a computer: V20 supports wired computer use. For the same screen size and phone app in a lighter body, compare NeoGold if you do not need the on-device artwork gallery or included metal backup kit.

A phone app for transfers, a touchscreen for approval

SecuX Neo-X connects to SecuX Wallet on iPhone or Android over Bluetooth. Its USB-C port is for charging; the documented transaction workflow uses the phone app, rather than SecuXess on a computer.

Prepare a transfer in the app, then review the recipient address and amount on Neo-X’s 2.8-inch colour touchscreen and confirm it there. Return to the app to send the transaction.

The iPhone app requires iOS 13 or later. SecuX publishes conflicting Android minimums, and the current public Google Play listing does not resolve them. If you have an older Android phone, check that you can install SecuX Wallet before buying.

Bitcoin, Ethereum and the networks you actually use

Neo-X supports Bitcoin and Ethereum transfers through SecuX Wallet on your phone. For tokens, you also need support for the network they use: USDT on one network is a different compatibility question from USDT on another.

SecuX’s April 2025 model breakdown describes Neo-X support for up to ten Ethereum-compatible networks, including Base, Arbitrum and Avalanche. For V20 and W20, it also documents adding tokens manually on other Ethereum-compatible networks. Use the mobile column in SecuX’s supported-assets list to check your exact coin, token and network before choosing Neo-X.

For USDT or USDC, choose the receiving network in the app and match it to your exchange’s withdrawal network. Use Verify on device to display the receiving address on Neo-X and compare it with the address in the app before transferring.

The included backup kit and your recovery words

When you create a new wallet, Neo-X generates 24 recovery words on the device and asks you to confirm them there. The package includes two paper recovery sheets, two X-SEED metal backup sheets and an engraving pen. You use the sheets to record the words yourself and keep them offline, separate from the device.

The recovery words are your wallet backup; its PIN only unlocks the device you have. While Neo-X is working, Seed Check in its settings lets you check your written words without a factory reset.

The recovery formats and word counts Neo-X can import remain unconfirmed. SecuX says the Neo series does not support an additional recovery passphrase. If your existing wallet uses one, choose a replacement that supports it.

Firmware updates stay in the phone app

Neo-X uses SecuX Wallet for firmware checks and updates over Bluetooth. Connect the powered-on wallet in the app, check for an update and keep the app on its update screen while it runs.

SecuX recommends an external power source during updates. Keep the wallet powered and the Bluetooth connection active; switching off the device or closing the app interrupts the process.

Neo-X or NeoGold: which extras will you use?

Both have a 2.8-inch touchscreen, the same listed dimensions and the same phone app. Neo-X weighs 100 g and has an aluminium body; NeoGold weighs 76 g and has a gold-finished plastic body. Choose Neo-X if you want its artwork gallery and included metal backup kit. Choose NeoGold if you prefer the lighter device and do not need those extras.
