Where they differ

Wallet recovery: Foundation Passport Prime:Magic Backups needs two of three recovery parts: two are on Keycards and one is backed up through Envoy and the phone’s cloud backup. A new wallet can instead use a manual backup: any two of three physical Keycards, or recovery words.; Block Bitkey:Phone, hardware and server keys with assisted recovery. Check service and country availability.

Before you choose

Consider

Foundation Passport PrimeInitial setup uses Envoy and Bluetooth. To restore existing words without Magic Backups, ask Foundation support to confirm the steps for your KeyOS version before setup. Ethereum and Solana need the separate Legacy Mode beta on a computer.

Block BitkeyTwo of three keys are needed. Recovery involves your phone, cloud storage and the service, rather than a conventional recovery phrase.

Connectivity

Foundation Passport Prime

Computer

SparrowNot confirmed

Connection requirements

Foundation lists Sparrow for multisig wallets with Prime as a cosigner. We have not confirmed the exact Prime–Sparrow import and transaction-transfer route. Check that integration with Foundation before proceeding; Passport Core or generic QR support is insufficient.

iPhone · Android

EnvoyBluetoothBitcoin

Connection requirements

For Bitcoin on a phone, Envoy connects to Prime through QuantumLink Bluetooth.

EnvoyQRBitcoinSupport for wallet setup is unconfirmed

Connection requirements

Set up Prime with Envoy over Bluetooth first. After setup, Envoy can transfer Bitcoin transaction data to and from Prime using QR codes.

Block Bitkey

iPhone · Android

Bitkey appNFCBitcoin

Connection requirements

Needs an NFC phone and the Bitkey app. Setup requires a cloud backup and email alerts; recovery depends on the keys and backup access you retain.
